Little Bits of Brandon started out in January of 1995 with 5 initial members meeting as often as possible surrounding a small kitchen table. Little did we know that we would soon outgrow this space and end up where we are now. As of our September meeting, September 28, 2006, we will be meeting at 7:00 pm on the 4th Thursday of the month from February to November at Parkview Co-Op, 1321- 13th Street. We have reserved January for our annual Christmas Party and Chinese Auction (general meetings held this month will be decided upon in November and posted), and we carry no meeting in December. We now carry yearly dues of $30.00/ year due in September. Guests are welcome and highly encouraged. They are entitled to 2 free meetings and will be requested to join the club after that. Anyone is welcome to join Little Bits of Brandon as Members at Large. The fee for this is $12.00 Canadian / 12 month membership. This fee is due by September of each year. This entitles them to a membership card, name tag, the monthly newsletter and 2 free meetings per year. Members at Large may also request any make-n-take projects being done for the month. If interested in becoming a Member at Large of Little Bits of Brandon please feel free to e-mail Bobby Bain dmbain@mb.sympatico.ca or Janice Roach kjuice@westman.wave.ca for more information. |

Our Newsletter - Little Bits |
In September 1999, Bobby Bain and Janice Roach started what they both wanted to do for their club - a newsletter. "Little Bits" was started because of their love for miniatures and their ideals of sharing this wonderful hobby. What started out as a surprise for their club members in September 1999, has grown a lot with the sharing of information with other clubs. Because of this newsletter, Little Bits of Brandon receives information from The United States, England, Australia, and all over Canada. Our current newsletter is being published by Connie Sumner. As you can see by these pictures, these were items raffled off by Bobby and Janice to commemmorate the 1st Anniversary of "Little Bits" Newsletter. The 1/4 scale room was won by MEOW (Miniature Enthusiasts of Winnipeg) whch they in turn raffled off within their club. The little bear was won by a Member at Large - Sharon Reeses of Winnipeg. |
Bobby and Janice have back newsletter issues available to anyone who is interested in them. They sell at a cost of $2.00 each to help pay for postage, paper,etc. If interested you can e-mail either one at their above listed e-mails. |
