The following pictures were taken by our club member Connie Sumner, on her trip out to the Neepawa Lily Festival which took place in July 2006. Our club was invited to make a display for the Festival. It was a combined club effort and we all had a lot of fun.

The lillies that were made were a combined club affort. They were originally taught at a meeting in which everyone who was able to make them did so and donated half of what they made to the project. Many members chose to make miniature lily displays so that we were able to duplicate some of the tent ideas that were displayed in real life at the Festival the display was being shown at.

We also decided to add our own version of a quilt display in which members made and donated the quilts.

Members also got together at parview Co-Op on April 8th, 2006 for an all-day workshop. Here we got to see what had already be done and what we needed to finish. It was a lot of fun and made the work so much easier for the co-ordinators.

Our display board was specially built for us by Connie's husband Elvis.

As you can see, as diplayed being a club project.
Here's a side view of our diplay showing the quilt displays.
A further view of the quilt display.
A close-up view of the side of the quilt display. The sign you see in the first picture is to the top left of this picture.
Here is a view from the other end of the display. It shows the rows of tables of the lily displays. It also shows a dstant view of the fountain and the angel.

The fountain was made by Shirley Keyes and the angel was made by Marg Forsyth.
Here's the front view of our Lily display. This shows the entrance to the tent with the guest book and bulbs for sale.
Here's a close-up view of the beautiful angel statue made by Marg.
